Book Review: King, Book 1 by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

Book Review:
King, Book 1
by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

I rated this book as 5 out of 5 stars!

This book doesn't do a slow progression and bog the reader down with too much needless information. Instead, it immediately jumps into a mystery. A mystery that the reader is swept away into. Who doesn't enjoy that? It begins with Mia Turner, a strong, independent woman ruling her facet of the working world. That world is tipped upside down when her only brother goes missing. Mia will stop at nothing and do anything to find him. When her desperation peaks, she is turned towards the man that can find anyone. King. His price is hefty but with a chance to find her brother Mia would agree to anything.

The rabbit hole deepens and no matter how many layers peel away it never loses its edge and complexity. The sexual tension between Mia and King is profound. You bob back and forth between wanting her to rip both of their damn clothes off and having her punch him. Questions and curiosity is maddening in a very good way regarding both the storyline surrounding Justin, Mia's brother and just who this great and powerful King truly is.

He's dark and domineering and absolutely EVERYTHING that I love and just drool over in an alpha male of a good read. Without delving into spoiler territory, all I'll say is that it is a must read. It will not disappoint and will have you coming back hungry for installment number two and three. After all, the author ends book one on one hell of a cliff hanger!

Highly recommended!
